Ultima VIII - Day 2

I don’t know why everyone slagged off Ultima VIII so much? I think its great. Day two and I’m finally starting to get a path and work out how it all works.

I found out the use of the teleport pads. Very cool. Makes it easier to get around Pagan. Not that its that big :) I have not found the keyring yet but I’m sure its close.

My first real puzzle was to pull the right levers that opened the exit to the cave. I then arrived on the plateau. There I found Mythran who explained the only way to escape Pagan was to master the elements.

This game holds up against time. Most games these days seem to spend so much time designing great graphics that they forget about a good story or interaction with the player.
